Overview

BasicStack runs entirely on Hetzner Cloud infrastructure, leveraging their data centers in Germany for reliable and compliant hosting. Our deployment uses a Kubernetes cluster running on Hetzner Cloud VMs (CX series) with integrated load balancing and block storage.

Server Configuration

  • Kubernetes Nodes: CX31 instances (2 vCPU, 8GB RAM, 80GB SSD)
  • Load Balancer: Hetzner Cloud Load Balancer for ingress traffic distribution
  • Storage: Hetzner Cloud Volumes for persistent data (encrypted at rest)
  • Networking: Private network for inter-service communication

Advantages

  • Cost-Effective: Competitive pricing with transparent billing
  • Performance: AMD EPYC processors and NVMe storage
  • Compliance: German data centers, GDPR-compliant
  • Reliability: 99.9% uptime SLA

Deployment Model

We use Infrastructure as Code (Kubernetes manifests) for reproducible deployments. The Hetzner Cloud Controller Manager integrates seamlessly with Kubernetes for automatic provisioning of load balancers and persistent volumes.
